Objective and Profile

I have been a captain in the yachting industry for the past twenty years.  As owner of CMY I have successfully prepared over nine yachts for sale, and transitioned them to new ownership. Due to my extensive Bahamian cruising experience, CYM also created a unique niche of acting as a Bahamian pilot and guide for visiting and foreign vessels. Assisting the captain and crew and providing them with local knowledge for owner’s trips and charters, has allowed me to be on board over twelve vessels and observe the inner workings of many different yachts and programs.

1999 - 2002 / KNOT TIDE

This 105’ Broward maintained a very busy and successful charter boat operation in South Florida, New England and the Bahamas.  We chartered with a crew of five, nine guests, and a towed 32' center console tender.  Upon completion of a major refit in Ft. Lauderdale I then assisted with the transition to new ownership.

Completed this 85’ Burger new build project and then operated her for private owners through the Great Lakes, St. Lawrence Seaway and into the Northeast United States.

1997 -1998 / SCOTT FREE

Engineer/Mate – On this 124’ Delta I assisted the captain with the completion and delivery of this new build. As engineer/mate I was involved in all aspects of engine room design, electronics and communications.

1997 / GOLDEN EAGLE

Engineer/Mate - This 112’, five stateroom Broward was offered for shared ownership and operated as a busy charter yacht with a crew of four.  We cruised Florida and the Bahamas and towed a 32’ center console tender.

1993 - 1997 / SENSATION

Engineer/Mate - I began on Sensation when she was originally offered for sale as the 105’ Ameriship Lady Sasha. She sold and became Sensation and I remained with the yacht through two owners and three captains. We cruised throughout the Caribbean, Florida and the Bahamas.

Personal:

I grew up in St. Croix, one of the US Virgin Islands and have been on boats since I was in high school.  After school in the afternoons I worked for a company called Mile Mark Charters where I learned to sail, fish and dive. We operated day tours with guests for snorkeling and tours to National Park Buck Island. I have been married for sixteen years and I have two sons.  Boating and the ocean are part of my life both professionally and personally.  I love to go snorkeling, fishing, exploring and I also like working on and fixing up cars.
